Inset Day
Thank you so much again for a brilliant day - staff were very excited to use their new skills and thank you for all of these great ideas. The storytelling heart of the school would be fantastic.

"That was absolutely fantastic, I didn't think it would be as good as that and I have certainly never seen nursery staff engaged like that before. Any training session I've been in with them in the past they've made no contribution. Lynne Roberts Nursery Manager
The 'unleashing the power of reading aloud' inset for our teaching assistants has made a huge positive impact.

As things change quickly in education, we continue to ask teachers and support staff of primary and secondary schools as well as many other education establishments about developing a really useful but fun INSET day. These are just a few of the things they told us they wanted:
Teachers: A fun day with lots of practical help and tips. Wanting to feel comfortable enough to ask any questions. New ideas and methods for literacy. New ideas and skills that could help with EAL. To be a better storyteller without using books. To equip all teachers, but especially our NQT's with tried and tested methods for engaging students.
Management: A day that equips staff with new skills. A day with team building opportunities. One that is backed up with examples of good practice and case studies. Transferable skills, improved communication and presentation skills. A day that they could take part in too and leave it completely to someone else. One that can help us develop our creative curriculum, one that links to our current focus.
So we listened and developed a day that covers all of the above and more. A day where you can learn just how much fun and power storytelling has, not just as an educational tool but for communication too. And we are still developing the day, new ideas, new stories, new projects all giving us new experience and tried and tested methods to pass on to delegates.
· All participants who successfully complete the course receive a level one storytelling skills certificate signed by Richard.

Fantastic Thank you
I just wanted to say thank you for the training yesterday. It was fantastic. In the future, I would love to arrange for you to come in and work with some of our children. I am sure you get booked up well in advanced but I will get my literacy co-ordinator onto it. Anyway, I am off to do the Pink Barbie Bike story with Year 5 this afternoon. MH Head teacher

"The training exceeded my expectations. Richard was a pleasure to work
with and we were made to work outside our comfort zones to enhance our
storytelling skills. This was really useful for our work at the Museum."

''Richard was a pleasure to work with and was able to tailor the
session to our group. We all gained a great deal from the training in
terms of building skills, experience and confidence in story telling and
we also had fun. The team have been eager to make use of what they have
learnt and have used many of the new skills and techniques with
success''

Any training session I've been in with them in the past they've made no contribution. "Thank you very much the storytelling training session this afternoon.
My team and I enjoyed the experience and came away with many fond memories. We shared so many experiences and have learnt new techniques and approaches to story telling which we can use and adapt within our nursery setting. Upon speaking to several members of my team they came away feeling more empowered, confident and enthusiastic.
Please can you convey our sincere thanks to Richard O'Neill for a most enjoyable story telling experience.
